JEE (Main & Advanced)
JEE is India's gateway to its top engineering colleges. JEE Main opens the NITs, IIITs and other centrally-funded institutes, and is itself the qualifier for JEE Advanced — the exam that opens the IITs. It is taken with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Who can appear
Students who have passed, or are appearing in, Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. JEE Main is held twice a year and may be attempted across three consecutive years; the top scorers (around the top 2.5 lakh) become eligible for JEE Advanced, which allows a maximum of two consecutive attempts.
